Fire Protection Association

The Fire Protection Association (FPA) is the UK’s national fire safety organisation. Established in 1946, it works to identify and draw attention to the dangers of fire and the means by which their potential for occurrence and loss is kept to a minimum. Recognised as an independent and authoritative source of fire safety information and advice it offers education and training, a fire risk assessment service, and a nationwide risk management survey service for insurers.

International Institute of Risk & Safety Management

IIRSM is a professional membership body that provides recognition, information, support and enhancement for health and safety professionals and specialist members related to the health and safety field. The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) were established in 1975 as a professional body for health and safety practitioners. It was created to advance professional standards in accident prevention and occupational health throughout the world.

The Institution of Fire Engineers

The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) is a worldwide body that provides research, training, conferences and professional qualifications for firefighters and civilians who work in fields related to fire fighting, the science of fire fighting and prevention, and related technology. The IFE was established in the UK in 1918 and upholds professional standards within all public and private fire sectors by offering assessment of knowledge, experience and development. The IFE is also an Ofqual recognised Awarding Organisation.
